Heating system and vapour behaviour
The XMAX V4 Pro uses a convection heating system. This means that the material is not primarily heated by direct contact, but by a heated air stream. Convection vaporisers are considered suitable for even heating with reduced stress on the material, which pays off especially when temperatures are finely tuned. In addition, the XMAX V4 Pro features an insulated air path. The air path is thus separated from the electronic components, which is relevant for clearly defined airflow and consistent draw behaviour.
Dual mode operation: session mode and on-demand mode
The XMAX V4 Pro supports two modes of use:
Session mode:
In session mode, the device automatically maintains the temperature for a set period of time. The session times are 4 minutes and 6 minutes. This is useful for consistent, continuous sessions with a stable temperature.
On-demand mode:
In on-demand mode, heating only occurs when the button is pressed. This is useful when individual puffs are taken without running a complete session.

Display and operation
The XMAX V4 Pro is equipped with a 0.96-inch colour display. Among other things, it shows the temperature, mode and session information. The display is described as a colour UI display and provides a quick overview of the most important values. The device can be controlled using the buttons on the housing, including the on/off function and mode selection.
Airflow system and airflow settings
The airflow can be adjusted in three stages. This allows the draw resistance to be adjusted depending on the filling, grind and preferred inhalation style. A variable airflow is particularly relevant for convection vaporisers, as the amount of air has a direct influence on extraction and temperature stability. The airflow control is integrated directly into the device and allows adjustment without additional parts.
Mouthpiece and water filter connection
The XMAX V4 Pro comes with a glass mouthpiece that is designed as a 2-in-1 solution. The 2-1 glass mouthpiece can also be used as a 14 mm water filter adapter. This means that it can be used with water filters and glass bubblers without the need for separate adapters.
Battery, replaceable battery system and charging via USB C
The XMAX V4 Pro uses a replaceable ICR 18650 battery with 2550 mAh. The battery can be removed and replaced as needed, which keeps everyday use flexible. Charging is via a USB-C port. This allows charging with common power supplies, power banks and USB chargers.
