Coneflower is known as old medicinal plant and the Native Americans already used coneflower against coughs, throat infections and tonsillitis. Whilst the medical effect is academically disputed coneflower is used to treat respiratory or urinary infections as well as wounds that don't heal properly.
The abilities of coneflower lie in being able to active scavenger cells in blood and tissue which strengthens the own immune system. For this reason coneflower is used against the tendency of infections like in the case of an expected cold.
